Quetzali

A beautiful priestess of the god, Ximetotec, whose cult was not well accepted by her contemporaries, she was the best friend of Itzi and eternally infatuated with Yotzin. She found her path intertwined with Marlox’s. She allied herself with him, although she didn’t want to. She felt that she was trapped in a curse that united her with Marlox, but her love for Yotzin never ended.

Maestro Ximoc

Although his birth was unknown, he was known to have originated in the ancient city of Aztlan. He was called the son of Ometecutli (the Giver of Life). Since a forgotten era, he has carried within himself the knowledge of the sacred codices. This master of war had to be there at this time. It was the task that had been entrusted to him by the gods. He had to find the chosen one that would wear the Sacred Armor. He had to care for him, educate him, help him to grow, teach him all his knowledge, and make him worthy of wearing the Sacred Armor. His task would transcend a life. A future race would need it. Because of what he knew of the future, he hid Yotzin’s heir from a certain death at the hands of his uncle Omatzin. His story began at that moment.

Eagle Knight

The Eagle Knight was born into a royal family. He was the youngest member of the royal family.  His father was King Yotzin I. Unfortunately, Omatzin, the king’s brother, who had an evil heart, desired to ascend to the throne. He began to plan the murder of each of the heirs to the throne.

But the master warrior Ximoc recognized the fate that would befall Yotzin. He helped the young boy escape his uncle’s attempts to murder him. The boy lived with Ximoc as an apprentice under a false identity so that nobody would know who he was. Ximoc protected him and taught him the art of war as well as giving him a well-rounded education. The boy developed strong sense of justice. Over time, the boy began to stand out from the other apprentices, not only in his mastery of weapons and military strategy, but also in strength and size. He was a born leader who strove to unite the tribes, and thus bring to them a peace and prosperity, the likes of which had never been seen before. The tribe became the great Aztec Empire.

When his master saw this, he knew that the Eagle Knight was ready. He gave him a special armor. It was the Sacred Armor that the codices prophesied would be worn by a good man, a great warrior that would save his Race from oppression. At the end of the Fifth Sun, he would not only save his race, but the whole world.
Besides giving him the Sacred Armor, his master gave him the medallion of Ometecutli, the god and creator, who protected the souls and the hearts of men.

Itzi

Born of a humble family and orphaned after the incursion of an enemy people, Master Ximoc rescued her and gave her to a family that would care for her. Itzi grew up as part of this family, always growing and playing with her best friend, Yotzin. He was always her friend until they grew, then he became the love of her life. For her, there was no distinction between social classes. She believed in equality between people, be they men or women. She demonstrated it by secretly learning, because it was forbidden for women, all the techniques of fighting, perfecting them so well that even Yotzin was astonished. Since he had nothing else to teach her, they confessed to Master Ximoc. The master, knowing the future that would befall them, helped her increase her level of fighting to a supreme level.

Marlox

Born in old Spain, an ambitious man always in search of riches went in conquest of the new lands that were said to be full of gold. Resolved to conquer them at whatever cost, he accepted the mission and set sail. In the new land, it was never easy. He found sacred armor that gave power to the man that war. Just as he had always taken what he wanted without a good purpose, he rashly wanted to do the same with the armor. But again, it wasn’t easy. He began a fight that would extend, as the prophecies said, until the current 2012.
